   Hi and welcome to my blog all about cooking, Thai food, and    other things I like to talk about and share when inspiration strikes 🙂

   I love cooking and thought I’d start this as a bit of fun and so  that I can cook and take pictures of my food WITH A PURPOSE!  Yes, instead of just doing it anyway and having a phone full of  pics of my dinners.

I particularly love Thai food so before returning to London after  spending quite a bit of time there some time ago, I asked a Thai  cook – and friend – to teach me all my favourite recipes so that I  could make them back at home.

 

Here’s the kitchen I learnt to cook in, often with the little dog Tik there too, hoping for scraps.  With just two wok rings and a rice cooker, you can make almost anything!

I’ve now been using these recipes for over ten years and learnt much more too about cooking and tastes in that time.

What I’d like to do here is share recipes for my favourite dishes, using ingredients you can get in supermarkets without needing specialist shops.  I’ve adapted and substitued here and there and make no claim that these are totally authentic recipes, but I think they taste good and are easy to make – which is all I’m aiming for.

I hope you like the recipes and also hope you’ll get in touch and let me know what you think, what works, what’s good and if you have any favourite meals you would like a recipe for.
